    Member of Parliament Jamal al-Muhammadawi addressed a parliamentary question to the Mayor of Baghdad regarding the disbursement of an amount (88) million dinars for lighting towers donated by an Iraqi company.


    According to an official document obtained by "Alsumaria News", Al-Muhammadawi said that an amount of (88) million dinars was disbursed according to the registration document No. 115 on (26 / June / 2018) for the work of 12 lighting towers donated by the company (SAS / Iraqi nationality).







    He added, "We found out a set of violations, of which, a contract was organized with (Jabal Al-Salheen Trading Company) for the purpose of erecting lighting towers on Abu Nawas Street, where it was noticed that the director of the department signed the contract even though it was outside his powers that were specified according to the letter of the secretariat. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] / Office Secretary [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Numbered in the number (M / 3/1030) on (24 / February / 2013), which specified the authority of the department manager to sign the bonds, not exceeding (20) million dinars.

    He pointed out that "the department disbursed the contracted amount in the amount of (84) million dinars to the Business Execution Committee, and they delivered the amount in cash to the company without there being any evidence to support the company's receipt of this amount, contrary to the instructions."


    He continued of the violations, "the company delayed submitting the letter of guarantee, as it was issued with the number (120181) on May 22, 2018, and it was delivered to the production units department on August 13, 2018, that is after the lapse of (42) days despite the fact that the contract period is (30) In addition to the absence of a record of final receipt of the works executed by the company.
