DEPUTIES INTEND TO SIT IN PARLIAMENT UNTIL THE BUDGET IS APPROVED
Tuesday, 30 March 2021 12:19 AM

Baghdad / National News Center

Member of Parliament, from the Irada bloc, Hussein Arab, said that MPs intend to sit in the House of Representatives building until the 2021 budget law is approved.
Arabs explained, in a televised interview affiliated with the National News Center, that “MPs and parliamentary blocs are trying to cancel the role of the Finance Committee in the budget file,” indicating that “the reason for canceling the vote session on the budget is the filler that MPs imposed on it in the last hours.”
And he added, "Deputies intend to sit in parliament until the budget is approved."
Arab, who is the vice-chairman of the Labor and Social Affairs Committee, added that “the demands for approval of the budget are constantly changing,” indicating that “a bloc that submitted and those with them demanded the inclusion of the compensation file for the absentees, and this is their main demand. At the same time, others demanded job grades, and some of them demanded projects. Strategy in their provinces ”.
Last Sunday, the House of Representatives failed to obtain agreements that would lead to the passage of the 2021 Budget Law.
In a separate context, Arabs said, "Throughout the year, no more than 170 deputies attend, and some deputies for three years have not attended."

As he spoke about "a deputy we have not seen," adding in the vernacular, "On my honor, I do not know his name."
