The American Politico newspaper said that the United States is trying to break the nuclear deadlock with Iran, by presenting a new proposal, noting that President Joe Biden's administration is striving to bring the Iranians to the negotiating table.
The newspaper quoted two informed sources, which it did not disclose, that Biden administration officials are planning to put forward a new proposal and discuss its details during this week, at a time when a White House spokeswoman confirmed that this matter is not being studied.
One of the sources said that the proposal calls on Iran to stop some of its nuclear activities, such as working on advanced centrifuges, and enriching uranium to a purity of twenty percent, in exchange for some easing of US economic sanctions.
