The head of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Haitham Al-Jubouri, revealed, on Friday (April 2, 2021), the fact that his house had been burned, while he responded to what he called "some of those affiliated with politics" regarding the prohibition of contracting with lecturers.
In a statement received by IQ NEWS , Al-Jubouri referred to two issues, the first is that "the news of the burning of my house, which spread today, is incorrect because it is an old video showing the burning of my house last year."
As for the second issue, Al-Jubouri said: “I am surprised by some statements and news (from some of those affiliated with politics and the House of Representatives) that Haitham Al-Jubouri has banned the issue of contracting with lecturers. Here, I confirm the following remarks, with respect to all the comments that will be written on this publication, that the doctor Haitham al-Jubouri is one deputy out of the total of 329, so can one person control the decision of an entire assembly with this number? "
He added, "The first person to prove the rights of lecturers, administrators, and workers in the educational sector and together with the brothers in the Finance Committee is me," adding, "Originally, we and from the beginning agreed with the lecturers that we in the committee set the financial allocation and place an obligation on the Ministry of Education to issue direct orders to the lecturers and Administrators and others, according to the legal text in the budget law and my agencies, and allocate 900 billion dinars.
He pointed out that "the issue of transferring them to contracts or wages or their confirmation is a governmental matter that has nothing to do with the law."
