Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adel Al-Rikabi, today, Sunday, issued a directive regarding the application for inclusion in social protection.
Al-Rikabi said, in a statement received by the "National News Center", that "the ministry is about to open a new coverage of social protection in light of the financial allocation allocated within the general budget," noting "the importance of establishing an electronic mechanism for submission through a new form, provided that previous mistakes are not repeated."
He added, “The ministry has previous experience in 2016, as the application process for coverage with protection accompanied many problems and left a large number of applicants, a part of them was decided, while other numbers of objections remained unresolved until now, stressing the need for the new mechanism to be sober, accurate and free of Mistakes ”.
He directed to "define the social search process, the mechanism of data intersection, and how to store applicants' information in the database, stressing the need to set timelines for submission and according to the categories covered so that there is no pressure or momentum in the submission.
He stressed that "the announcement of the submission for inclusion precedes a media campaign, and the need to educate and explain the controls and conditions for submission in accordance with the groups covered by the Social Protection Law,
taking into account the privacy and requirements of people with disabilities."
This came during Al-Rikabi presiding over a meeting to discuss the new inclusion mechanism with representatives of the Prime Minister's Office, the Media and Communications Authority and the Ministry of Communications, in the presence of the Director General of the Social Protection Department and the owners of the Information Technology Department.
