(Baghdad: Al Furat News) Today, Monday, the Federal Commission of Integrity announced the issuance of a prison sentence against a general manager of a company affiliated with the Ministry of Reconstruction that had previously caught him committing bribery.

A statement issued by the Investigation Department of the Authority, which {Al Furat News} received a copy of, stated that "the Rusafa Criminal Court, which is specialized in issues of integrity, issued a judgment in presence of two years against the general manager of one of the companies affiliated with the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities," explaining that "the verdict came. Because she caught him red-handed, receiving a bribe amount in exchange for agreeing to disburse financial dues for a housing project in Basra Governorate.
The circuit stated that “the court, after reviewing the evidence obtained in the case, the original seizure report organized by the Commission's Investigation Directorate in Baghdad and the seized exhibits, reached full conviction of the convicted’s negligence, so it decided to sentence him based on the provisions of Resolution 160 of 1983.”
In early February, the authority announced that it was able to arrest the general manager of one of the companies affiliated with the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Municipalities with the crime committed while receiving the bribe.
