Turkey announced, on Monday, that Iraq will top the list of neighboring countries that import the most in the first quarter of 2021.
The Turkish Ministry of Trade and the Turkish Exporters Council stated that “the total volume of Turkey's exports in the first quarter reached 50 billion dollars,” noting that “the volume of exports to neighboring countries recorded 4 billion, 327 million and 858 thousand dollars in the period between January and March 2021.” .
She pointed out that "Iraq tops the list of the most importing neighboring countries by one billion and 875 million and 111 thousand dollars, and Bulgaria came in second place with 766 million and 300 thousand dollars, then Greece with 589 million and 26 thousand dollars, Iran with 481 million dollars, and Syria with 324 million dollars." One million and 536 thousand dollars, and Georgia with 291 million and 884 thousand dollars. "
The Turkish trade indicated that "chemical materials and products came first with 743 million and 889 thousand dollars, followed by the sector of grains, pulses, oilseeds and their derivatives with 552 million and 789 thousand dollars, then furniture, paper and forest products with 537 million and 610 thousand dollars."
