Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adel Al-Rikabi confirmed that the Social Security Law will provide legal protection and privileges for workers in the private sector, while it is likely that 400,000 new families will be included in the social welfare salary.

Al-Rikabi said to the "The Tenth" program, presented by colleague Karim Hammadi, and followed by "People" (April 6, 2021), that "the government did justice to the ministry in the 2021 budget, allocating 5 trillion and 600 billion dinars," pointing out that "the Parliamentary Finance Committee The ministry's budget allocations have been reduced to about 4 trillion. "
He added, "The sums deducted from the budget of the Ministry of Labor were allocated to the poor," stressing that "the increase will be from 25 to 100 thousand for social welfare."
He pointed out that "one million and 400 thousand families are included in the social welfare salary, and 400 thousand new families will be included," indicating that "the application for the social welfare salary will be through an electronic portal."
He pointed out that "the unworthy citizen will be subjected to legal accountability in the event of applying for social care," stressing that "a student married to middle school is included in the sponsorship salary."
He continued, "People with disabilities are covered by social protection, as is Law 38 of the full-time employee," noting that "Law 38 sets the salary of a full-time employee to the tenth grade at 170,000 dinars."
He stressed that "the ministry submitted a proposal to amend the text of the full-time appointed law, to reach the eighth degree."
Regarding the Social Security Law, Al-Rikabi said, "The law provides legal protection for workers in the private sector, as it guarantees retirement and health insurance for workers in the private sector," noting that "the law distinguishes between academic achievement and qualifications for workers in the private sector."
