President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faik Zaidan, blessed the recent graduates of the Judicial Institute during a ceremony held by the Institute at its headquarters today, Saturday, for the graduation of the 41st session, which includes twenty judges.
Zidan said during his speech, according to a statement by the Supreme Judicial Council, that "the judiciary is one of the pillars of the state and an important part of the foundations of society in which souls, rights and freedoms are protected, and by achieving justice among society members, stability is achieved, states are built and last."
He added that "justice is based on the spirit and texts of Islamic legislation," stressing that "the exhortation to justice is mentioned in many Qur’anic verses, such as the Almighty saying (God commands us with justice) and (if you judge among people that you rule with justice), so God commands us to be just. In our judgments, even if that justice comes against ourselves, parents and relatives, and we are harmed by that.
While recommending the new judges to "seek knowledge, perseverance, diligence, and benefit from previous judicial generations," he stressed "dealing positively with the attorneys and jurists, for they are the best aid in the pursuit of justice."
