    The Minister of Transport and the head of the Border Ports Authority held a meeting, on Tuesday, at the ministry’s headquarters to discuss the issue of transit and set the necessary controls for it through six border ports of Iraq with five countries.
    The media of the Border Ports Authority stated in a statement that Al-Aqsaad News received a copy of, that "the meeting was held at the Ministry of Transport, headed by the Minister of Transport, and in the presence of the head of the Border Ports Authority, Major General Omar Al-Waeli, and representatives of the relevant departments."
    He added, "During the meeting, the issue of transit was resolved and the necessary controls were put in place, and it was resumed from tomorrow, Wednesday, from the ports (Zurbatiyah, Al-Qaim, Trebil, Al-Mandhariyah, Safwan and Arar), which are six border ports with five countries, in order to transport goods (transit) through Iraq is for neighboring countries. "
    The head of the Border Ports Authority said, "This matter is one of the important steps to increase state revenues and activate the important site of Iraq.
