On Wednesday, Agriculture Minister Muhammad Karim Al-Khafaji saw that there is a regional conspiracy to keep the country from self-sufficiency in its products.
Noor Al-Majed, during his participation in the "Al-Khaima" program, Khafaji said, "The balance of the product's price with the consumer is important and we are waiting for an abundant season," noting that "a regional conspiracy to keep the country from self-sufficiency in its products."
He added, "We have formed committees to follow up on those who raise prices, and we will be held accountable strongly," noting "100 agricultural engineers in Dhi Qar, Maysan and Wasit will be distributed to them."
And he continued, "My moral duty is to include agricultural engineers in plots of land," adding, "I have directed poultry producers to sell to poor neighborhoods at cost price."
