THE FACT THAT A REQUEST HAS ARRIVED FOR THE PRESIDENCY OF PARLIAMENT TO LIFT THE IMMUNITY OF SOME DEPUTIES

    Wednesday, April 21, 2021 2:21 PM

Today, Wednesday, the deputy from the Al-Fateh Alliance, Fadel Al-Fatlawi, revealed the fact that a request for the Presidency of Parliament had arrived to lift the immunity of some deputies.
Al-Fatlawi said in a statement to the "National News Center", that "until today, the Presidency of Parliament has not reached any request to lift the immunity of some MPs whose arrest warrants have been circulated by the media."
He added, "The postponement of yesterday's session was not due to fear of the arrests of MPs and the removal of their immunity, but rather because of the lack of a quorum," attributing that to "the preoccupation of many of them with the exhausting procedures of the elections."
