    Baghdad - People  
    On Wednesday, the Council of Ministers of the Kurdistan region attributed the recent attacks to the independent policy of the region, stressing the importance of security cooperation with Baghdad.

    The Council of Ministers of the Kurdistan Region held, today (April 21, 2021), its regular session chaired by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani. At the beginning of the meeting, Barzani indicated that: “We decided to distribute the administrative powers of the Council of Ministers to ministries, public administrations and offices in the governorates during a specific period, in order to provide facilities and services to citizens and eliminate red tape in government institutions, in a manner that ensures the completion of citizens' work as quickly as possible according to what is It is stipulated in the outlines of the government action program.  
    Barzani highlighted "the latest security developments in the Kurdistan region and the results of the investigations about the recent attack on Erbil International Airport and the position of the international community regarding it," saying, "We are in constant contact with the Iraqi government to put an end to the attacks on the Kurdistan region."  
    He also stressed that "the reason for the attacks is due to the independent policy of the Kurdistan region, which is a policy that is the basis of the public interest for the people of Kurdistan, indicating that the region wants a good and friendly relationship with neighboring countries, and also thanked the international community for its stances, especially the United States and European countries." For standing by the Kurdistan Region. "  
    After that, Interior Minister Ripper Ahmed referred to "the importance of security cooperation with the federal government and the implementation of the obligations of both sides, especially the activation of joint security points to face threats and risks."  
    In the second part of the meeting, the Minister of Finance and Economy, Awat Sheikh Janab, and Planning, Dara Rashid, reviewed the general lines of the first draft of the Kurdistan Region Budget Law for the year 2021 with specific numbers and areas (income, expenditures, loans, financial obligations and deficits), taking into account the tables allocated to the region in the General Budget Law. The Federal Government for the fiscal year 2021, which was published in the Official Gazette on April 12, and it was decided to refer the region's budget bill to the Kurdistan Parliament as soon as possible.  
    In another paragraph of the meeting, a draft law (Rights and Privileges of Persons with Disabilities and Special Needs No. 22 of 2011) and a draft (Law of Activating Official Iraqi Stamps Drawings No. 71 of 2012) were presented, and in light of this, the Council of Ministers approved the two projects unanimously.  
    In another part of the meeting, the internal system for organizing the work of guards in the Kurdistan region was approved by a majority of votes, with the aim of reforming this area, and the Council of Ministers directed the ministries concerned to implement it.
