Shahristani refuses nomination for parliament deputy speaker

BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Mustaqiloun MP Sameera al-Mussawi disclosed today that MP Hussein Shahristani refused his nomination as the first
deputy speaker of the Iraqi parliament.
In a statement, she added that Shahristani had "no information" about
this nomination.
"Shahristani thanks who nominated him, but declines to accept this post", Mussawi confirmed.
