The Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed that what was reported in the media about the salaries of the three presidencies is the amount of the salaries of the three presidencies, noting that "their net salaries do not exceed 20 million dinars per month."
The media department of the Iraqi Council of Representatives revealed in a statement: “What was reported in some media outlets that the salaries of the three presidencies amounted to 80 million dinars for each of them, shameful news about the truth,” noting that “the net salaries of the three presidencies do not exceed 20 million dinars per month. “.
The statement also indicated that no statement was issued by the Finance Committee regarding the salaries of the three presidencies.
The Information Department of the Iraqi Council of Representatives called on the media to "be careful when publishing such news and to make sure of the authorities authorized to declare, supported by documents and evidence of the information they transmit."
It is noteworthy that the draft budget law included a deduction of 40% of the salaries of the three presidencies and the Supreme Judicial Council and 30% of the salaries of ministers and deputies and those of their grade, in addition to a deduction of 10% for everyone whose monthly income ranges between 500 thousand and one million dinars (but the first 500 thousand are not included in the tax It is imposed by 20% on those who earn a salary ranging between one million and one and a half million Iraqi dinars and 30% for everything that exceeds 1.5 million dinars. It also imposes a flat 10% tax on retirement benefits and end of service benefits.
