On Friday, a member of the Parliamentary Education Committee, Raad Al-Maksousi, explained the mechanism for awarding lecturers' assignments .
Al-Maksousi said in a press statement that “the financial allocations for the lecturers will start from the date of contracting with them,” indicating that “the lecturers do not receive their salaries retroactively from the date of the administrative orders, but from the date of the contract with the ministry.”
He pointed out that "some of the lecturers have administrative orders of different dates," explaining that "the Ministry of Education has provided a template for the paper of contracting with the lecturers, and when the procedures are completed, they will receive their salaries from the date of their contract."
Earlier, the Council of Ministers agreed to contract with free lecturers and administrators, according to the financial cover in the 2021 budget.
