The Committee on Labor, Social Affairs, Immigration and Displaced Persons confirmed today, Thursday, that the draft retirement and social security law provides the possibility of disbursing a retirement pension to every citizen according to two basic considerations: service and legal age, while it announced its endeavor to reduce the entry of foreign workers in order to clear the way for Iraqis Those who do not have job opportunities.
Deputy Chairman of the Committee Hussein Arab told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The draft retirement and social security law has been read first and will be submitted to the second reading and voting on it in Parliament," pointing out that "the law contains great privileges, including what stipulates the possibility of granting Any citizen with a pension according to service and legal age.

And that "the law will guarantee the rights of workers through mechanisms and instructions."
With regard to the file of foreign workers, Arab stressed that "the committee is working to reduce the entry of foreign workers into Iraq to provide job opportunities for Iraqi citizens."
With regard to the files of Iraqi expatriates and internally displaced persons, he affirmed that "the committee is closely following the affairs of Iraqi immigrants abroad, but there are no guarantees for return. Rather, there are legal rights that are given to experts and competencies to encourage them to return to the country."
He pointed out that "the work of the Ministry of Labor is limited to displaced persons." The security and financial circumstances make it necessary for us to follow up the file of the displaced inside Iraq. "
