Al-Abadi and Al-Hakim in the "coalition of the state" .. and "inside" the call boycotting the elections
    02 May 2021

    Ultra Iraq - Editorial Team
Headed by Ammar al-Hakim, a new political alliance was announced in Baghdad that includes the Wisdom Movement, the Victory Coalition, and other political currents “some emanating from the protests” in the name of the “National State Forces” coalition, in preparation for participating in the upcoming elections in October.
In a statement, the coalition said that Haider al-Abadi will assume the presidency of the leadership council of the coalition after "the merger of the coalition forces of the state and victory," stressing that he "adopts the approach of building and strengthening the state, leading to building a state, effective institutions that take upon themselves to consolidate the foundations of law, order and community service."

For its part, the victory coalition said in a statement that the alliance took place "after constructive talks and shared the political vision towards the crises of the state and ways to save it," indicating that "the new alliance includes a national, central political force that believes in the state and works to consolidate its principles and structure, and works to enhance the prestige and sovereignty of its legitimate institutions towards All surrounding internal and external crises . "
The statement added, "The new coalition hopes that the upcoming electoral process will be fair, fair and faithfully representative of the will of the people, and establish a sound political life that saves the system and the state from its crises in the service of the country and the citizen." Almighty behind intent. "
In the same context, the Dawa Party announced a boycott of the elections for reasons that were summarized in 5 points.
"The elections are the best way to choose the people's representatives, and we invite the masses to participate in them, but we decided not to run for them," the Interior Organization said in a statement, Sunday, May 2.
The organization listed the reasons as follows:

    • We believe that the measures taken may not be sufficient to prevent fraud, as happened in the 2018 elections .

    • The lack of a real will and a clear mechanism to prevent regional and international interference in the electoral process.

    • There are no determinants to prevent the flow of regional and international political money, and money from corruption, to influence the electorate and the election results.

    • Not resolving the issue of illegal weapons that will have a role in interfering in the electoral affairs and its outcomes.

    • The absence of inclusive alliances of Islamic and national forces and the large number of political parties and groupings are confusing and weakening the political scene and hindering the formation of a strong, coherent and viable government in the face of the many great challenges that Iraq faces.

The new alliance was announced despite the end of the deadline for registering political alliances, as the Board of Commissioners of the High Electoral Commission set, on May 1, a deadline for closing the file of electoral alliances.
Official lists included, "Ultra Iraq" was shown, with a copy, of 18 political coalitions, most notably the "State of Law" coalition led by Nuri al-Maliki, "Victory" by Haider al-Abadi, and "Progress" led by Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi.
While the Al-Fateh Alliance and the parties affiliated with it were absent from the map of the new political alliances, as well as the Sadrist movement and some other forces.
