Iran begins construction of the largest power production station in Iraq

{Economist: Al Furat News} The Iranian ambassador in Baghdad, Iraj Masjedi, announced, on Saturday, that his country will establish the largest electric power production station in Iraq.

Masjedi said in a press statement that "Iran is currently embarking on the construction of two power plants in Iraq."
He added, "One of these two projects will turn into a major station for the production of electric power in Iraq."
And on the conditions of the Iraqi-Iranian borders, Masjedi stressed that "the joint extending over an area of 1,400 km between Iran and Iraq is completely safe today," noting that "security problems are being pumped out from all the border points, especially western Iraq."
