    Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi stressed today, Tuesday, the
    importance of supporting Iraq and respecting its sovereignty.

    The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by the National News Center, “Al-Kazemi received the Assistant Secretary-General of NATO (NATO) John Manza and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation between Baghdad and NATO, and the role played by the mission. NATO by supporting Iraq in its war against terrorism, and in raising the level of its military capabilities within the frameworks of training and advice, developing institutional structures, and others.
    He added, "Al-Kazemi stressed the government's endeavor to strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and NATO, and the importance of elevating this relationship to a new and fruitful beginning confined to non-combat fields in accordance with the requirements of the Iraqi government and respect for the country's sovereignty."
