ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) - The Kurdistan Parliament’s Financial Committee held a meeting on Monday with a number of ministers to discuss the second reform report, which was recently referred to Parliament.
Late last month, the Kurdistan Regional Government referred to the parliament its second report on the reform law, which has entered into force since last year after it was approved by parliament at the beginning of the same year.
Inside the parliament building, the Finance Committee held its first meeting with the region's interior minister, Ripper Ahmed. The Minister of Peshmerga, Shorsh Ismail, will join the meeting at a later time.
Informed sources said to Kurdistan 24, that the Finance Committee will direct to the ministers, during the meeting, a number of questions and observations about the reform report.
The Kurdistan Regional Government sends a periodic report preferring all the reforms it accomplishes in the joints of government institutions, in accordance with an agreement with the Parliamentary Finance Committee.
The second reform report differs from the first and includes more data and information on the implementation of the law, according to Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hayman Hawrami.
In general, the reform law focuses on introducing reforms in the file of retirees, salaries, allowances, benefits and others within the program of action of the new government in the region.
The Kurdistan Regional Government, headed by Masrour Barzani, says that the reform law will contribute to achieving justice as part of a decisive and continuous process in the long term.
