    [size=45]Yesterday, Saturday, the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, affirmed Iraq’s firm stance in support of the Palestinian people. Saleh said during his speech, which was followed by (Al-Mada): "We affirm Iraq's steadfast support for the struggle of the Palestinian people in their steadfastness." He added, "Throughout these difficult days, the Iraqis watched the heroic resistance and the rare challenge of the Palestinian people."[/size]
    [size=45]He continued, "What happened confirms that there is neither progress nor stability in the region without achieving justice and liberating the Palestinian people," noting that "achieving justice and freedom is a responsibility that must be undertaken by the international community on the basis of what is affirmed by all the laws." In turn, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi condemned, on Saturday, what is happening in Gaza and Palestinian Jerusalem.[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Kazemi said, "We reaffirm Iraq's steadfast position in support of the Palestinian cause." He added, "We condemn the horrific crimes of the Israeli occupation in Gaza and Jerusalem." In another angle, Al-Kazemi said: "It is our duty to leave the point of disagreement," indicating that "the elections are an opportunity to open prospects for prosperity." The Prime Minister pointed out that "Iraq's leading role in the region must be restored."[/size]
    [size=45]In a related context, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi said that the Palestinians ’defense of their land is a legitimate defense by all standards, adding that the Palestinian response ended the Iron Dome lie.[/size]
    [size=45]In addition, the Palestinian ambassador to Iraq, Ahmed Aql, said yesterday, Saturday, that "the loudest voice at the time of the Palestinian uprising was in Iraq."[/size]
    [size=45]In his speech, he added, "Palestine was liberated 4 times by forces coming from Iraq."[/size]
    [size=45]Earlier, Akl praised, during a meeting with the President of the Iraqi Republic, Barham Salih, according to a statement issued by the latter's office, “the official, political and popular position of Iraq regarding the events taking place in Palestine, and its support for the rights of the Palestinian people and their just cause, and Iraq’s adherence to the necessity of obtaining the entire Palestinian people. His legitimate rights and stopping the attacks to which he is exposed.[/size]
