    Baghdad - conscious
Today, Sunday, the Finance Committee in the House of Representatives confirmed an increase in the budget allocations for the Ministry of Defense, indicating that this is aimed at developing the capabilities of the Iraqi army.
A statement by the House of Representatives received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "the Chairman of the Finance Committee, Haitham Al-Jubouri, received at the headquarters of the Committee in the House of Representatives, the President of the French Parliamentary Defense Committee, Francoise Duma and her accompanying delegation."
The statement added, "The two sides discussed a number of issues of common interest, as well as developing relations between the two sides and discussing ways to support investment and remove obstacles facing major French companies that wish to work in Iraq and establish important projects such as Mosul Airport and the Baghdad Metro train project."
According to the statement, the Finance Committee affirmed its support "for the Iraqi Ministry of Defense by increasing its financial allocations in the budget to develop the capabilities of the Iraqi army and consolidate cybersecurity for the security and intelligence services, as well as discussing the possibility of cooperation with the Iraqi Military Industries Authority and seeking the help of sober French companies in this aspect." .
For her part, Francoise Dumas welcomed "joint cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two sides and the continuation of the war against ISIS terrorist gangs."
