The Investigation Department of the Nozha Authority announced, on Monday, that it has carried out two arrests of defendants in the Second Real Estate Registration Directorate and two private banks in Karbala Governorate.
In a statement received by Mawazine News / a copy of it, the department stated that “the staff of the Karbala investigation office managed to arrest an employee of the Second Real Estate Registration Directorate for delaying the delivery of transactions to the decentralized auditing authority in the directorate for several months, in preparation for bargaining with their owners in return for money Although the instructions stipulate that the transactions must be delivered during the first five days from the beginning of each subsequent month.
She added that "the process resulted in seizing the original written inventory of transactions for the months of November and December 2020 that were issued during the months of February and March of this year," noting that "the total of these transactions reached (521) transactions, while there are no inventories of transactions in January and February. 2021, the total of which is (228) transactions, as they are not audited, because the accused did not hand them over to the decentralized auditing authority in the directorate.
She explained that “the office’s team was able, in a separate process, to arrest two defendants of check book holders working in a mobile car belonging to a private bank operating in the governorate, for selling the documents for issuing passports contrary to the instructions issued by the Central Bank, in addition to seizing (3) Checkbooks issued by the bank ",
And it indicated that "the team noticed during the execution of the operation the existence of a mobile car belonging to another bank carrying out the same violation, and two checkbooks were seized that authorized signatories to them."
The department affirmed, “Two seizure reports were organized in the two operations that were carried out pursuant to two judicial notes, and they were presented with the defendants to the judge of the Investigative Court specialized in integrity cases in Karbala, who decided to arrest the accused in the first operation in accordance with the provisions of Article (331) of the Penal Code and to release the defendants in the process.
