The Union of the Mediterranean of Turkish Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters announced, on Saturday, that Iraq was the third largest importer of fruits and vegetables from Turkey during the month of April.
"Turkey's exports of fresh fruits and vegetables amounted to 201.7 million dollars in April, an increase of 70% compared to the same month of the previous year," said Union President Necdet Sen, in a press interview.
And that "Russia ranked first as the largest importer of Turkish fruits and vegetables, with an increase of 85% and a value of $ 57.5 million, and Romania came in second place with an increase of 64% and a value of $ 30.1 million, followed by Iraq in third, with an increase of 81% and a value of $ 14.3 million."
Sen pointed out that "Turkey has achieved a five-fold increase in exports to the markets of India, Libya, Syria, Kosovo and Belarus."
