, President of the Republic, Barham Salih, directed, on Sunday, the necessity to enhance the stability of the country and create the requirements for fair elections.
A presidential statement, of which Mawazine News received a copy, stated that "the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received today, at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, the Secretary-General of the Party of the Callers of Islam - Organization of Iraq Khudair Khuzaie."
The statement added, "The meeting discussed the latest developments in the country, and emphasized the need to enhance security and stability in the country, confront terrorism, protect social cohesion and unify the national ranks."
He continued, "The meeting also stressed the importance of the upcoming elections and their conducting on time, and the necessity to go hand in hand with creating appropriate conditions for their organization in a way that guarantees their integrity and fairness and achieves the free will of the Iraqis in order for it to be a path towards meeting the desired reforms and the basic requirements of citizens."
