Sherwan Mirza said in a press statement: "We in Baghdad do not feel that there is a political problem between Baghdad and the Kurdistan region, so that the implementation of this Article 11 of the region’s share of the budget in the budget is used as a pressure card. The matter is nothing but laziness on the part of the Iraqi government."
And he stressed, "The Kurdistan Regional Government must insist on resolving this issue quickly, because it has a relationship to the sustenance of the citizens of the region."
Mirza pointed out, "The articles of the federal budget law that the federal government challenged have nothing to do with the Kurdistan region’s share of the budget, and the federal government can implement the law, but that requires a visit by a technical delegation from Erbil to Baghdad."
He explained, "The federal government has problems with the law, and it has challenged ten articles of it while it is awaiting resolution of these appeals. The contested articles have nothing to do with the share of the Kurdistan region. Article 11 is not among them, but there is a need for a technical delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government to visit Baghdad and meet." With the prime minister and the technical delegation of the Iraqi government, and resolving the method of implementing Article 11.
It is noteworthy that a delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government is scheduled to arrive in the capital, Baghdad, on Sunday.
The head of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s office in Baghdad, Faris Issa, said in a press statement, “A high-ranking delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government will visit the capital, Baghdad, today, Sunday, to meet with federal government officials to discuss the implementation of the provisions of the budget law for the current year.”
He stated, "The delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Qubad Talabani, will arrive in Baghdad this evening and will start from tomorrow, Monday, to hold meetings to discuss sending the Kurdistan Region’s share of the budget." Political. "
