The reporter of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Ahmed Al-Saffar, said, "A large technical delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government headed by the Vice President of the Regional Government, Qubad Talabani, arrived today in Baghdad," indicating that "the aim of the visit is to implement Article 11 of the budget.
He added, "The delay in implementing Article 11 of the Budget Law due to the government's appeal of some of its paragraphs," stressing that "there are 5 important and basic paragraphs in Article 11 of the budget."
He pointed out that "the government has challenged 10 paragraphs, and this may change many things in the draft budget," pointing out that "the debts of the commercial bank on the region amount to between 4 to 5 billion dollars."
For his part, MP Badr Al-Ziyadi, a member of the Sairoun coalition, said that "the budget law obligates the delivery of funds to the region on a monthly basis," noting that "the region is required to deliver oil and revenues from the first month."
He added, "The intentions must be sincere to solve the problems between the region and the center," stressing that "the region prevented the Federal Office of Financial Supervision from entering in the past."
He pointed out that "there are large sums of money accumulated owed by the Kurdistan region," noting that "the region withdrew large sums from the commercial bank." Ended 29 / A 87
