According to the Future Iraq Foundation for Economic Studies, "the annual exchange rate for Iraqi tourists increased by 362% in 2019 compared to 2011, and these expenses include buying tickets and other expenses and purchasing various products."
He added, "The Iraqi tourist exchange rate is $5,000 annually."
He pointed out that "the rate of exchange on foreign tourism amounted to 6% of the total revenues of the Iraqi state, which is a high percentage that represents a significant drain on the Iraqi state's imports as a result of the inability to activate internal tourists in Iraq, which prompted the Iraqi tourist to spend a certain amount of his revenues on foreign tourism." .
