{Umniah: Al Furat News} The first meeting between the Iraqi Military Technical Committee, headed by the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations Lieutenant-General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, and its American counterpart headed by the Commander of the Solid Resolve Operations Forces in Iraq, Lieutenant-General Paul Calvert, was held on the morning of Saturday, the fifth of June 2021, in The Iraqi capital, Baghdad, within the framework of the security technical talks, which were agreed upon in the strategic dialogue session held on the seventh of last April.

The Security Media Cell said in a statement received by {Euphrates News} a copy of it today that "the American side reiterated its respect for Iraqi sovereignty, and that the international coalition led by the United States is in Iraq at the request of the Iraqi government to provide advice, support and enablement to inflict a complete defeat of the terrorist gangs of ISIS."
He continued, "The two sides agreed on a framework for the upcoming sessions to discuss the long-term security relationship between two countries that enjoy full sovereignty, and also agreed on an action plan to implement the outcomes of the strategic dialogue between Iraq and the United States, and that the plan would be completed during the next session of talks that will be held in Baghdad or Washington." In July or August of 2021.
