    On Sunday (6 June 2021), an informed political source reported the start of a meeting of the high-level Kurdish delegation from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, headed by Bafel Talabani, with the leader of the state of law, Nuri al-Maliki.
    In an interview with IQ News , the source said  , "The Kurdish delegation from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, headed by Bafel Talabani, held a meeting with Nuri al-Maliki, leader of the State of Law coalition," without giving further details.
    The delegation of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan is visiting Baghdad headed by the co-chair of the party, Bafel Talabani, where he met this morning, the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, and the two parties stressed on resolving the outstanding issues between Baghdad and Erbil.
    After meeting President Salih, the delegation of the National Union met with the leader of the Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, to discuss solutions to end the differences between Baghdad and Erbil through dialogue and resort to the constitution without selectivity, and the need to compromise on the Iraqi interest and jump over factional or special interests.
