Dozens of people with disabilities demonstrated in the city of Nasiriyah, on Monday, to demand an amendment to the Law of the Persons with Disabilities Authority and fairness to those referred for health reasons.
And the correspondent of "Mawazine News" in the province stated, "Dozens of people with disabilities demonstrated in front of the Special Needs Department, to amend the law on people with disabilities in Parliament."
Our correspondent added, "The protesters indicated that the amounts allocated to people with disabilities were not properly distributed by the authority, as it left the beneficiaries who are entitled to benefit."
Through banners they raised, the demonstrators called on the federal government and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to "the need to do justice to those referred for health reasons, to make their salary according to the percentage of disability, and to have a better monthly entitlement."
