The Ministry of Communications announced, on Monday, the launch of Internet services at subsidized prices soon, while referring to the cost of calls to landlines .

The ministry's spokesman, Raad al-Mashhadani, said in a statement to the official agency "INA", that "there are a number of projects implemented by the ministry, including the (FTTAC) project, the optical cable project and the (Fiber to Home) project," stressing that "all of these projects are They will be subsidized by the Ministry of Communications .”
He added that "the services available in it are modern, and high-speed Internet services, which differ from previous services," noting that "the ministry always seeks to enhance confidence between citizens and the ministry by providing the best services for these networks ."
He pointed out that "the (Viber to Home) services included many areas of Baghdad at the present time, as the cost of the landline phone is very simple and does not exceed 5,000 dinars ."
He added, "The cost of a phone call from landline to another landline per minute within the optical cable is 5 dinars, while the cost of calling from a landline to a landline phone between governorates is 15 dinars, while the cost of calling from a landline to a mobile phone is only 50 dinars ."
He explained that "there are prices for Internet packages, which are bronze for 35 thousand dinars, silver for 40 thousand dinars, gold for 50 thousand dinars, and joysticks for 50 thousand dinars per month, and these are all subsidized prices from the Ministry of Communications ."
And regarding the shock process, he stressed that “the shock process is still ongoing and will not stop,” noting that “the ministry is cooperating with the Media and Communications Authority in this regard with the intelligence service, the National Security Agency and the security forces,” stressing that “there is immediate accountability that is taken against violators by cutting off cables, lifting abuses and referring them to the judiciary, and at the same time handing them over to the courts .”
He pointed out that "this process is still going on in Baghdad and the provinces, through the citizen's cooperation in the first place with the ministry, with the engineering staff, and with the Communications and Postal Department, which is ready 24 to receive complaints from citizens about violators."
