NATO member states announced an increase in the support provided by the alliance to Iraq.
This came in the final statement of the summit held by the NATO countries in Brussels.
The alliance stated that it would raise the level of support provided by the alliance to Iraq and the Iraqi security forces, in the advisory and financial fields.
The final statement of the NATO summit included the condemnation of the alliance countries "the use of chemical weapons in Syria and Iraq."
NATO countries indicated during the summit that "the world cannot return to its normal state, as long as Russia continues to violate international laws."
The final communiqué of the NATO summit held in Brussels consisted of 41 pages, in which it touched upon the methods of the alliance's confrontation with new and old threats.
The statement also touched on the threats posed by Russia and China to the world, warning the two countries.
And the leaders of the alliance warned Russia, stressing not to normalize their relations with it if it did not abide by international laws in its conduct.
The statement stated: "Relations with Russia will not return to normal if the latter does not demonstrate its commitment to international law and international obligations."
The content of the statement included Afghanistan, where the NATO leaders participating in the Brussels Summit expressed their desire to open a new page of relations with this country, and stipulated: “We affirm our commitment to continue supporting Afghanistan and its people.”
And the NATO countries announced that they would continue to provide material support for the training of Afghan security forces, and to keep Kabul airport open.
