    According to the statement, Prime Minister Hussein Arnous discussed today with the Minister of Agriculture Muhammad Karim Al-Khafaji and his accompanying delegation ways to activate and strengthen the bilateral cooperation formulas between the two countries, and take the necessary practical steps for further joint coordination in the fields of agricultural and animal production and the establishment of joint companies specialized in agricultural manufacturing and land transport. In addition to coordinating on the issue of water security for the two countries in a manner that preserves their rights in accordance with international laws.
    The talks also dealt with finding ways to exchange goods and commodities and facilitating their movement to secure the needs of the Syrian and Iraqi markets from various materials and cooperation in the field of scientific research to develop agriculture in the two countries and select suitable crops to confront climate changes and global warming in coordination and cooperation with ACSAD as well as activating mutual visits of specialists to advance cooperation. The duo is forward at all levels.
    The Prime Minister affirmed the Syrian government's willingness and desire to expand and develop areas of joint cooperation with brotherly Iraq in various fields, especially intra-regional trade, the exchange of goods, materials and strategic products, land transport and investment, and the establishment of joint companies in the field of agricultural production and marketing, both plant and animal, and the exchange of experiences in the fields of scientific research. agriculture to reach self-sufficiency and achieve food security.
    Arnous added, "The historical relations and commonalities between the Syrian and Iraqi peoples make it imperative that we work to invest them in achieving the common interest and work to translate the memorandum of understanding that was signed between the two ministries of agriculture in the two countries on the ground through concrete measures in the interest of both sides and the search for new horizons for cooperation and access. to a kind of integration between the two economies."
