    A statement by the Commission received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "within the preparations of the Electoral Commission for the polling phase to hold the Iraqi Parliament elections scheduled to take place on the tenth of next October, the final numbers of polling stations and stations belonging to the electoral registration centers have been determined."
    He continued, "After the period of updating the biometric voter register, which lapsed on 4/15/2021 and knowing the final numbers of voters, the final dissemination process was approved by the Board of Commissioners by (8273) polling stations, comprising a total of (55041) polling stations, each station receives ( 450) voters as a maximum," noting that "the deployment process for polling stations is determined based on the data of the ration card and the voter's place of residence."
    The Electoral Commission confirmed, during the statement, in a message of reassurance to the Iraqi street, including the voters, as well as those interested in electoral affairs and the international community, that "it is very keen on the integrity of the electoral process by taking the necessary means for its success, as it is in the process of studying the procedures to ensure the consolidation of the electoral process."
    On the other hand, the statement explained, "The Commission continues to receive the answers received from the bodies that verify the eligibility of the candidate and ensure that he is not affiliated with the armed forces and security services, through a specialized committee that studies the answers and prepares its report for the Board of Commissioners to take the necessary decision in this regard, as well as the It continued to receive withdrawal requests during the period that started from 13 to 20/6/2021,” noting that “the Board of Commissioners firmly confirms the closure of the registration door permanently, and there is no renewal for the candidacy period that ended on May 1, 2021.”
    And he indicated that "the process of candidates' withdrawal is an absolute withdrawal, and the withdrawing candidate is not allowed to participate again."
    He continued, "The electoral commission's work is defined by tight timings that organize the stages of the electoral process, and it cannot be deviated from, as it is committed to conducting the election of the Iraqi Parliament on its scheduled date, and that it works based on the provisions of the system of certification of candidate lists, which states: "The party has no right to change submitting the names of new candidates who had not been nominated before the end of the nomination period, or replacing the previous candidates with other candidates, unless the commission excluded some of its candidates, and requested their replacement with others, and within a period specified by the commission. It is effective and it is not permissible to replace the deceased candidates with other candidates, due to the expiration of the nomination period.
    The Commission indicated that "within the directives of the Board of Commissioners and the Electoral Administration, the directors-general continue to make field visits to the electoral offices, warehouses and registration centers affiliated to them, to ensure their technical and administrative readiness in preparation for the upcoming parliamentary elections, and to hold joint meetings with members of the Security Committee and the management of the electoral governorate offices, and to discuss the numbers of protection available." And preventive safety,” noting that “in order to sustain communication, follow-up and evaluate the performance of the parties operating on the national scene, the specialized teams of the Department of Parties and Political Organizations’ Affairs continue their field visits to party headquarters to follow up on the implementation of the procedures for the functioning of the headquarters of political parties that have an official founding license, Which includes checking the seals, documents, records and documents certified by the notary public as required by the instructions for implementing the law of parties.
    In the context of empowering women and preserving their rights (candidate and voter) in the upcoming parliamentary elections, the commission stated that "Member of the Board of Commissioners at the Electoral Commission, Ahlam Al-Jabri, participated, as the chairperson of the Supreme Committee overseeing women's participation in the upcoming parliament elections, in the conference launching the committee's plan, which it held The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers/ Department of Women Empowerment, in cooperation with the United Nations, also participated in the dialogue symposium held by the Al-Shabaka Center for Strategic Studies and Research.. entitled (Women.. Voters and the Elected) and the importance of her voice in the upcoming elections.
    And she added, "Based on the national responsibility entrusted to the Board of Commissioners to manage the electoral process and conduct it in accordance with international standards, the Board of Commissioners calls upon the electoral process partners to take an active role in educating voters and educating them about the importance of participating in the upcoming elections," explaining that it will "take appropriate legal measures against them."
