Minister of Water Resources, Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, reassured farmers, on Wednesday, about providing water during the summer.
"We are happy to be in Najaf, and the visit focuses on hearing about the problems of our departments and the lack of financial allocations," Al-Hamdani said in a press conference in Najaf.
He stressed "the ministry's keenness to secure a water quota for the success of the agricultural plan," stressing that "water is available this summer, and we call on farmers not to worry."
He added that "many topics were discussed, and we directed the departments to overcome difficulties," noting "the ministry's intention to rehabilitate Bahr al-Najaf, as it is a tourist source and contributes to raising the province's financial revenues."
He continued, "The area qualifies to be a tourist destination, and we will work on that with all capabilities." Ended 29/A 43
