    Today, Wednesday, the Parliamentary Labor Committee announced that the draft law on retirement and social security for workers will be voted on during the current parliamentary session.
    In a press statement, a member of the committee, Inshaan Al-Gharawi, said, "The draft law on retirement and social security for workers has been read first, and we have started with the second reading, but there are many amendments to this law."
    She added, "The law will be properly amended in the Labor and Social Affairs Committee, and it will be voted on soon within the parliamentary session."
    Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi confirmed, on May 1, that the government is working to develop the Social Security Law.
    The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adel Al-Rikabi, indicated that respecting the right of workers is through legislation of the retirement and social security law.
