Many citizens criticized the issue of rising food prices in general, while pointing fingers at merchants and the policy of the Ministry of Agriculture with regard to stopping imported materials.

A noticeable rise in the prices of foodstuffs in general and table eggs in particular, reaching a single layer of eggs to more than six thousand dinars, which citizens explained to exploit the weak souls for the needs of the citizen with the closure of the borders to import, which enhances support for the local product.

Citizens stressed the need to monitor markets and hold traders and food shop owners accountable to prevent their need for these necessary materials from being exploited.

And the views of the Iraqi street varied, between a load of the competent authorities and a closure of the borders, so that the instability of food prices and their rise in food prices remained a burden that made matters worse.
