    {Economic: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Planning announced the signing of memoranda of understanding after the tripartite summit held today, Sunday in Baghdad, between the leaders of {Iraq, Egypt and Jordan}, while revealing the number of slums across the country.

    Ministry spokesperson, Al-Zahra Al-Hindawi, said; For the program “Al-Mastra” broadcast by Al-Furat satellite channel tonight, “there are political, security and economic axes at the Baghdad summit, and there are common interests between the three countries, and we are talking about a joint industrial zone between Iraq and Jordan and joint projects between the three countries.”
    He added, "The Baghdad summit discussed all these axes and took very important steps in activating memoranda of understanding and agreements," stressing "the need for Arab support to help with the reconstruction file." 
    He continued, "There will be cooperation between the three countries in the manufacture of human and veterinary medicines and the rehabilitation of Iraqi factories that have been affected by the war on terrorism and as a result of obsolescence and extinction," revealing an "Egyptian technical delegation will visit the capital, Baghdad, to see these factories and develop mechanisms for their rehabilitation."
    He referred to "the establishment of joint research centers in the field of agriculture," noting that "the leaders of the summit reached important results that will be translated into memoranda of understanding and agreements.
    With regard to the Chinese agreement, al-Hindawi clarified, "The confusion that was raised around it was not accurate and it is continuing. The government proceeded to implement the agreement through Announcing the construction of 1,000 schools and a project for the reconstruction of Sadr City, and it has not been replaced with other countries.” And
     between “We have a problem in electrical supply. On the other hand, Egypt has a great experience in producing energy, and linking Iraq with Egypt is not achieved now, but it will increase the volume of energy in the country and it will be more comfortable to recommend sources Energy and giving strength. 
    ” He added, “As for the oil pipeline from Iraq to Egypt, it will give the possibility of exporting oil through this pipeline to the Red Sea, as well as avoiding Gulf problems and will provide a benefit to all the surrounding countries.”
    He stated that "the outputs of the summit will serve as an important nucleus and a cornerstone for solving important issues in the region, and one of them is in the field of land transport. The renewal of the transport tariff will be at 130 dollars, in addition to nationalizing transport between the three countries, and working on the building and construction file, specifically addressing slums in Iraq.
    We have 4000 slums inhabited by 12 percent of the Iraqi population, with a total of 3 and a half million people, as well as related to bridges and highways
    On the surface of the industrial zone between Iraq and Jordan, Al-Hindawi concluded, "The industrial city will constitute an economic value for the two countries, and the western regions will be happy with investment, which is very important and there is exceptional interest on both sides to be an important economic landmark in the region."
