The bloc's spokesman, Bakhtiar Shaways, said in a press statement, "The federal government wants to send 200 billion dinars in the form of an advance to the region," noting that "the Minister of Finance refused to sign the decision on the pretext that it would be subject to legal accountability."
He added that "the fate of sending 200 billion dinars from Baghdad to the Kurdistan region is not clear and specific," adding that "according to the law, only the Minister of Finance can sign to send the amount to the region."
The Federal Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, had decided a few days ago to send 200 billion dinars to the Kurdistan region, but the decision remained in the Federal Ministry of Finance, and the Minister of Finance is not ready to sign for sending the amount.
