    Today, Saturday, the Supreme Judicial Council set the rights of the demonstrators.
    A statement by the council stated, "The Judicial Development Institute organized, today, a workshop attended by a number of media outlets, civil society organizations and heads of a number of unions."
    The statement added, "The workshop, which was attended by the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, discussed several axes, the most important of which is the amendment of Article 57 of the Personal Status Law and freedom of expression, in addition to the issue of domestic violence."
    Judge Zidan clarified, during the workshop, a number of "observations regarding the axes that were raised, especially with regard to the rights of the demonstrators," pointing out that "the judiciary attaches the utmost importance to this file."
    He stressed, "the issuance of judicial rulings against those who attacked demonstrators and civil activists."
    And the statement continued, "The workshop was attended by judges Iyad Mohsen Damad, Ahmed Gaseb, Alia Hussein, a group of representatives of civil society organizations and media professionals, the Syndicate of Journalists, Muwaid Al-Lami, and the Syndicate of Teachers Abbas Kazem Al-Saadi."
