Today, Saturday, the Parliamentary Committee on Economy and Investment confirmed that achieving a renaissance in the industrial sector could pave the way for eliminating 50% of unemployment, confirming the existence of plans to establish large industrial cities.
Member of the Committee, Representative Falah Al-Khafaji, said in a statement to the official agency, followed by the “National News Center”, that “the Iraqi industry is good and excellent, and it is possible to promote it better than it is now, through the industrial initiative, just as there was a governmental agricultural initiative that must There will be an industrial initiative to support the industrial sector,” noting that “the renaissance of the industrial sector could eliminate 50% of the unemployment that currently exists.”
He pointed out that "industry in Iraq has a positive impact on society, and there are plans to establish large industrial cities and it is possible to employ a large number of manpower in them," noting that "the industry needs a comprehensive and major review for the purpose of advancing this vital and important sector."
At the end of last year, the Ministry of Industry revealed that it had submitted a plan to the Prime Minister to advance the national industry.
