{Local: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Industry and Minerals carried out a practical experiment to use the coating material (Ff88) to protect buildings from fires, especially those built from the notorious “sandwich panel” in Iraq, whose fires caused catastrophes, the last of which was in the isolation center in Nasiriyah, and dozens of martyrs were injured. .

A statement by the Ministry of Industry stated that {Al-Furat News} received a copy of it, “The Minister of Industry and Minerals, Manhal Aziz Al-Khabbaz, supervised the implementation of the civil defense team at the Ministry’s headquarters and a number of engineers in the General Company for Engineering Examination and Qualification, a practical experience in the use of paint {Ff88} to protect buildings from fires."
He added, "Sandwich panels were brought and one of them was coated with [Ff88], and when they were burned, the painted panel did not burn, unlike the other uncoated panel, which burned easily."
The Minister of Industry stressed "the need to adopt all possible means, take measures and implement health and safety standards and conditions to prevent any accidents that could lead to damage to public money and state property and contribute to protecting citizens and their lives."
And he instructed "to conduct other experiments to define the specifications and uses of this substance in protecting buildings from fires and explosions."
The statement pointed out that "the General Company for Engineering Inspection and Rehabilitation has the capabilities in the field of coating and coating pipelines, fuel tanks, buildings, civil and military cars, and others with Line X and Ff88 to protect them from explosions, as this material is a polymeric material that relies on nanotechnology in its manufacture. Technological and characterized by its resistance to fire, rust, corrosion and acids, in addition to its flexibility and tolerance to shocks and temperatures.
He added that these materials are "used to protect military and civilian cars and bank cars and to protect buildings from external explosions, in addition to their uses in protecting fuel tanks of all kinds in an integrated manner from oxidation and salts and in covering the floors of laboratories, laboratories, food stores, floors of hospitals and construction laboratories because of their resistance to cracks and resistance And shock absorption and moisture resistance, as well as acting as an insulating material for noise and vibration.
