{Local: Al Furat News} A member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Saran Al-Ajibi, suggested that the Information Crimes Law would be transferred to the next parliamentary session because the parliament is almost disrupted with the approaching elections, indicating that the law is ready, and if there is a session, it will be put to a vote.

In a press statement, he said, "The Information Crimes Law is one of the important laws that, had it been enacted, would have curbed the electronic crime that has spread greatly, but it is unfortunate that the law was not voted on due to the lack of sessions."
He added, "The committee worked on this law for 3 years and matured it well, after taking the opinions of the specialists, but it is unfortunate that it was not approved during this session, so it will be deported to the next session," expressing his hope that "there will be close sessions to be put forward." This law is for voting, although there are no indications of holding future sessions, due to the approach of the upcoming parliamentary elections.”
