Trade reveals its plan to “Al Furat News” regarding the future of the food basket and its financing

{Economic: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Commerce revealed its plan regarding the future of the food basket and its financing.
"The ministry has prepared for the government a special budget for the next year, which included all the materials needed by the food basket, at the request of the General Company for Food Stuff Trading, to increase the specializations of the ration card to increase the number of items distributed to citizens," the ministry's spokesman, Muhammad Hanoun, told {Euphrates News}.
He added, "The budget was prepared on the basis of preparing 4 articles for six months, and today the ministry is preparing 7 articles and its ambition is to prepare them for a whole year, and it has been put on the table of the ministry and the ministry of finance, and then the government and the parliament."
Hannoun pointed out that "the required amounts amount to 3 trillion and 300 billion dinars to be able to secure the food basket over the course of a whole year."
And he indicated, "We are not tied to the materials through which we reach self-sufficiency, because the ministry depends on purchasing, whether from state institutions or the private sector."
