The Ministry of Finance announced, on Wednesday, the outcomes of the 17th session of the Budget Strategy Preparation Committee for the years 2022-2024.
The ministry said in a statement received by Mawazine News, a copy of it, that "Finance Minister Ali Abdul-Amir Allawi chaired the session's meeting today, Wednesday, August 11, 2021." The seventeenth of the Committee for the Preparation of the Federal General Budget Strategy for the Medium Term 2022-2024, in the presence of the Undersecretaries of Finance and Planning, advisors to the Prime Minister, the head of the General Authority for Monitoring Federal Ministries’ allocations and a number of general managers in the ministry and related ministries.
The statement added, "The session discussed the report submitted by the Babylon Governorate, which includes its future vision in adopting supporting elements to revitalize the economic reality, providing development stimuli and expanding the aspect of promising investment opportunities in it, in addition to strengthening public works efforts within the framework of upgrading the state of services and infrastructure and creating job opportunities. real."
And he continued, "The meeting also witnessed the completion of the follow-up to the report of the General Authority to monitor the allocations of the federal ministries, which is related to determining the ceilings of oil and non-oil revenues."
The statement concluded, "The series of budget strategy preparation sessions held within the adoption of the reform plan (the white paper) aimed at correcting the course of the Iraqi economy and directing it towards an effective and productive economy that supports the elements of achieving comprehensive and sustainable economic development."
