The Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture, Water and Marshlands warned, on Monday, of the continuing phenomenon of fish mortality in the central and southern regions.
The head of the committee, Salam Al-Shammari, said in a statement received by NRT Arabic, a copy of it, (August 16, 2021), that "the country has reached, during the current period and before, to self-sufficiency in animal products, especially fish."
The statement added, "This sufficiency greatly affected some trolls with turbid water externally, so they, using their internal criminal tools, struck this product in the hope of ending it."
Al-Shammari considered, "The phenomenon of fish deaths is a continuation of the foreign conspiracy to strike the self-sufficiency that has been achieved for many products, especially animal ones."
