, a member of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, called on the Ministry of Finance, on Tuesday, to overcome obstacles to disbursing the investment budget and developing the regions, while stressing the difficulty of approving the 2022 budget before the elections.
Al-Sudani explained to the official news agency, "The Ministry of Finance must overcome the obstacles that hinder the disbursement of the 2021 budget to ministries and governorates, especially with regard to disbursing the investment budget and the regional development budget," noting that "the House of Representatives is witnessing an absence of its legislative and oversight role."
Al-Sudani stressed that “the adoption of the budget law for the year 2022 before the elections is a fantasy,” pointing out that “everyone knows that the budget law contains political and economic dimensions, and requires sufficient space of time to study and mature.” Ended 29/R77
