[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / - The Iraqi Center for Combating Rumors warned the local and Arab media against the phenomenon of predicting chaos and spreading fears to the recipient through news reports that talk about the Iraqi security and economic situation that are not based on evidence or a reliable source.
A statement by the Center stated: “Local and Arab media have published news materials that talk about the state of political fluctuations in Iraq and link them to the security situation by including in the materials a quantity of predictions and fears that are not based on evidence or a reliable source.”
He stressed that: These channels and newspapers have committed several professional violations, because the news press specializes in conveying the reality of the situation as it is, without jumping to conclusions and speculations, or providing any prior dictates to the reader. Maintaining impartiality and avoiding bias, especially in issues of contention and thorny conflicts.
The Center added that the materials relied on publications on social media pages, which were known to mislead public opinion and spread controversial ideas, bearing in mind that social media pages are not always a reliable source in the world of news journalism, and do not dispense with relying on major and reliable sources such as parties concerned, documents and witnesses.
The Center called on the Communications and Media Commission not to allow these channels to practice these methods, which aim at the moral assassination of the recipient because they contain explicit suggestions that may frustrate citizens because of the predictions made by the article./End of 3[/rtl]
